Do you know an emerging leader in our community?

Rotarians gain experience in project activities using a variety of human resources. The diversity and nature of Rotary projects provides opportunities to acquire international, social, cultural, political and administrative skills. Because Rotary has many highly regarded and experienced members, the tutelage in these skills is second to none.

Are you a business owner, or manager, and have an emerging supervisor, manager or staff member demonstrating leadership potential?

Please contact our club and encourage (or even sponsor) them to join us.

Questions we often get asked….

What’s the time commitment?

We recognise that life is busy. We know that people are keen to connect with others in the community but often feel time poor. If you join Mount Waverley Rotary, we hope you can commit to our weekly meetings, but understand if there are times when you are unable to make it due to work pressures or family commitments.

Of course, not only do we have our club meetings, but you are expected to participate in fundraising and some of our project activities. Whether it's supporting our community projects, our monthly market, our youth programs, or promoting our club in the community, at the heart of Rotary is service, we are a service club so we expect members who find the time to participate.

Can I get involved in international projects?

If you are passionate about international community development, Rotary is the place for you. By joining Rotary, you have the opportunity to be involved in incredible international initiatives, peace fellowships and a whole range of development projects.

Will I meet people?

You can be sure to be welcomed and supported if you join Mount Waverley Rotary . We are friendly and encouraging and believe it's important to help everyone in our club feel a sense of belonging. We are a community!

Joining Rotary also opens you up to a world of people all over the globe. You can even join international groups that share a common passion. Whatever your passion is, there's most likely a Rotary Fellowship group you can join, a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.

Wherever you travel in the world, you can be sure to meet people as you will always be welcomed at the local Rotary club.

How does Rotary support me professionally to grow?

To be a Rotarian you need to champion high ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

Mount Waverley Rotary is made up of people from diverse professions and backgrounds and our vibrant club reflects the businesses, organisations, and professions in our community. Giving back to community through vocational service, the essence of Rotary by using your skills and expertise to serve our community.
